These sweet dogs love being around people and truly fit the term "lap dog."
Pros: The Yorkie Poo makes a great indoor dog. They do require some exercise, but are happy to live in even a small apartment if they get frequent walks. These are friendly, sociable dogs that love strangers and often get along well with other small dogs or even cats. Yorkie Poos are more hypoallergenic than many dog breeds making them a good choice for those who have minor dog allergies. Finally, these dogs are overall very healthy and are not susceptible to any particular illnesses or injuries when compared to other small breeds.
Cons: These dogs do require extensive grooming. In addition to regular brushing, they do need to be kept clipped to avoid matts in the fur and dirt gathering around the muzzle. The smallest Yorkie Poo dogs are not good for households with small children or larger dogs. Yorkie Poos can also be very stubborn despite their intelligence, they can at times be difficult to train.
